SPA FIELD DAY
By: Ana Rose Silva
Learning does not only take place in the four walls of the classroom but also real learning happens in the world of experience. The SPA is very grateful for this unforgettable experience- the breath-taking with magical voices of the “Ampalaya Musical Play”, the tour around the Silliman University Library, the impressive experience in one of the largest libraries in Asia-Silliman Library, the unlimited ice- cream in the Robinson’s Place, the extravagant token in the world of fun.
It was a day of fun, learning, discovery and excitement. A day of moments and bonding that we treasure the most. This would never be possible without the undying support of Mayor Hazel Cordova Billones, Ma’am Josy Limkaichong, Hon. Manny Iway for making this great, great field trip experience a success!
We were very much thankful to Sir Ian Encarnacion for the invitation and whole hearted support. To the parents, teachers, Ma’am Jiji Taladua and especially to Sir Zaldy Jimenez, our deepest gratitude for the support, for the trust and confidence.
From the Spa team a million thanks headed by Ma’am Jiji and Sir Jonilo Jainar, who are always putting their best foot forward, is very much honored and grateful. We will never squander the opportunity shared.
It’s Still a Success!

Tree planting

Let’s plant, let’s help, let’s save Mother Earth!
Environment is like our lives. If we do not know how to take care of it, then its creator will unleash its wrath against humanity. We all know that Mother Nature is begging for our help so, we must take the first step in saving her.
Students of JNHS took the pivotal role in preserving our environment. September 12, 2014 at exactly 8:00 0’clock in the morning, the JNHS went to Camandayon, Jimalalud, Negros Oriental for the tree planting. Students went there together with their teachers. They individually brought their seedlings which were donated by the DENR. This tree planting event was headed by Mrs. Jovelyn Y. Grapa, GPAK coordinator and a teacher of Jimalalud National High School. When they arrived, they immediately looked for a nice place for their seedlings. Students planted together and after that they took pictures as their remembrance. They proudly took pictures beside their seedlings that were already planted.
Students went back to the school happily because they all know that they helped Mother Nature in their own simple way. All of us have the ability to save our environment. Not just students but all of us can do. So, encourage others to make a step in saving our Mother Earth. Together, let’s save our environment in order for us to have a better place to live in, not just for us but also for the next generations!
